Mission Statement
To equip children and youth with enduring faith, spiritual discipline, and a Christ-centered focus as they learn to “run the race” of life with patience, perseverance, and purpose through engaging Bible-based lessons, worship, and fellowship.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to raise up a generation of Kingdom-minded runners—children and teens who are resilient, rooted in God’s Word, and focused on Jesus as the Author and Finisher of their faith. We envision a spiritual race where no child runs alone, but each one is empowered to press forward with faith, surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses.
Purpose
The purpose of our VBS program is to:
Teach children and youth how to walk in faith, hope, and obedience to God.
Encourage spiritual growth and endurance through biblical truths and fun, interactive experiences.
Create a supportive and joyful environment where every participant discovers their God-given identity and purpose.
Strengthen families and communities through the transformative power of the Gospel.

We encourage you to take advantage of the available curricula offered below, and don’t forget to enjoy the refreshments available each night. Please make plans to attend Tuesday through Friday and invite your friends!
ALL ARE WELCOME!
We welcome you to join in! You do not have to belong to GEM to sign up for this event. This fun-filled week brings together our teens, adults and children to share God’s love through new relationships, songs, crafts, food and games. Vacation Bible School is not like any other school!! This high-energy event is better described as a summer minicamp. It is interactive, energetic and our best summer adventure, ever! VBS is hosted onsite at Great Expectations Ministry COGIC, for which this event serves as VISION, MISSION and MINISTRY.
Our theme, RUN THE RACE! (Hebrews 12:1-2) emphasizes Endurance, Team Spirit, Discipline, and Focus. These are the things that make great sports teams, but more importantly – great SERVANTS of God! Join us as we learn about biblical characters and how to apply the Word to our lives…as the Word comes alive, while we run the race!
We have made, available, our curricula for the various groups of which you may download prior to the start. You are, also, encouraged to take advantage of early registration. We look forward to our time together!
