Purpose
The purpose of the New Member Education Class is to welcome, orient, and equip new believers and members of Great Expectations Ministries COGIC with a solid foundation in biblical doctrine, church values, and Spirit-led Christian living. This class is designed to foster a deeper understanding of salvation, discipleship, and the believer’s role within the Body of Christ and the local church.
Goal
The goal is to spiritually nurture and prepare new members for active, faithful participation in the life and ministry of Great Expectations Ministries COGIC. Through teaching, fellowship, and mentorship, we aim to:
Establish new members in sound doctrine
Promote personal spiritual growth and accountability
Encourage faithful stewardship and service
Cultivate a strong sense of community and belonging
Empower members to discover and walk in their God-given purpose
This class is a foundational step in the journey of faith at Great Expectations Ministries COGIC. New members will receive instruction on the church’s mission, core beliefs, and spiritual disciplines necessary for Christian maturity. The class provides biblical teaching on salvation, the Holy Spirit, prayer, worship, and church structure. Upon completion, new members are celebrated and invited to connect with ministry opportunities that align with their gifts and calling, advancing the Kingdom of God with excellence and unity.
